Digital Audio Workstation. In my experience, DAW refers to either of two things. One is your entire recording setup based on digital parts (your computer, hard disk recorder, or whatever). It’s also used in reference to the major piece of software where you do most of your work, like Logic, Cubase, ProTools, Fruity Loops, and so on.
