Excellent biography of John D. Rockefeller Sr. and the history of Standard Oil. The book covers everything from Rockefeller's bigamist father to the anti-trust battle that would eventually break up the Standard Oil company to the philanthropic work that John D. Jr. headed.

Long, but worth the read.
