One more thing. Lisa and I went to the New Pickle Circus yesterday, and I have a few pictures. They are based on Chinese acrobatics, so there’s lots of tumbling and feats of strength and balance. No animal training, juggling, or magic to speak of. Great fun.

Here is the full cast: in the back is the band, then the strongman, the usher, the astrophysicist, Grace the clown, Sophie (who wants to fly), Arturo the clown, and the dancer. I can’t remember all their names, but they all were great.

This was cool. They did all kinds of falls and rope/body sculptures high above the stage.
The slack rope. This girl was walking all over it, swinging it (and swinging from it), lying down on it, all kinds of stuff. Check her out at her web site.
The last act with Sophie getting to fly on the trapeze. This girl was so buff, it was unreal. They are all very strong performers, well worth the price of admission.
