:: Weekend Update ::

Brian's in town this weekend for a bit of belated birthday celebration with Kim, and me and Lisa. We went to Mia Francesca, a pretty crowded but good Italian place in Wrigleyville, tonight. The prices were surprisingly good, and the food was as good as the better Italian restaurants I've been to, so we were pleased. If you go, make sure you take someone you can split a dish with. They're big enough, and there's no sharing charge.

I don't have anything in particular to write about right now, I guess. Not like some people. I'm continuing work on the audio journal, playing drums regularly, and working relatively consistently (and yes, that means web design). No major commitments anytime soon, just sort of chugging along.

I look forward to writing a song some day. This whole audio technology thing is very exciting and empowering, and I hope I can come up with something to show for it. I feel impatient, but really there's plenty of time. There are plenty of songwriters out there who have spent years working with other people's material, then started writing their own good stuff. We'll see. I definitely love being able to make an okay sounding recording of my drums, though, and having this new thing/field/technology/art form to learn about.

I'll be playing MTM again tomorrow afternoon, as I have for almost the past month of Sundays. The regular bass player has played the show so many times now that he can read the paper and play the show at the same time. What does that say?
