:: Old Man ::

On the day Lisa and I got married, a significant piece of natural history in my home state fell apart. The Old Man In The Mountain was an icon you would see all over the state, on signs, books, coins, and artwork. It collapsed on May 3, 2003, much to everyone’s disappointment.

My dad just pointed out this article to me that describes what happened in a nice level of detail.

Y'know... It really WAS all our fault about the Old Man. See, I never told you, but when I was, as they say, a infant, my family was put under a mummy's curse. And it was all beware, forsooth, woe to your child's husband's home state's rock formations, yadda yadda, and we never paid much attention to it. "Oh, stupid ole mummy's curse, whatevah!" We never paid attention, that is, until it was TOO LATE!!!
