:: eMusic Plug ::

Lisa’s home. Yay! For one day. Arg!My newest vice is technically not even a vice. EMusic is like Napster, only legal and with less Britney Spears. They have music from Prestige, Concord, and lots of other labels available, so to a jazz fan they are a great resource. For ten to fifteen dollars a month you can download til you barf. Some of the many artists I’m partaking of:

The labels and artists receive payment for every download, apparently. I still have to find out how this compares to a CD in terms of the cut the artists get, but as far as the consumer goes it’s great. I’m recommending this because I think they’re pretty good, not to make money. None of these links are hooked into the affiliates program, although they do offer one.Countdown to the Concord Jazz Festival: 2 days. I’m playing in a group that’s going to be opening for Chick Corea’s trio. All of us in the band met through the Jazzschool, but we still don’t have a good name. Have any ideas? ‘Course ya do.In other news, this is really funny. Also, an online comic recommendation: Sin Fest. It ranges from adorable to really funny, and is really not as bad as its name might make you think.

:: Baby! ::

This just in: Today at 4:56 AM EDT, my new baby brother Daniel Chellman was born at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH. He weighs just under 8 pounds, is 21 inches long, has big dark eyes (sort of hazel I guess, lots of color), pretty big hands, is really active, and is HERE! Not here with me, but is now part of the world. He was born by cesaerian after 15 hours of labor, pretty similar to how it was with me apparently. I’ll be seeing him in less than a month, and I can’t wait. I’ll post a photo as soon as my dad sends me one.

:: Old IP ::

Hmmm… interesting what happens to IPs where your web site used to live. 208.56.152.76 is not longer chellman.org, but skurred.net. A recent high school graduate from Georgia. Right on.Lisa and I saw A.I. today. Go see it. Haley Joel Osmond will FYU, big time. So will pretty much everything else about the movie. Two thumbs up. Speaking of movies, I saw a review of Tomb Raider in the Guardian today, the advertisement sort, that had two reviews that said “I liked it.” Both of them were written by the same person. You know, some people should just give up and admit the movie is crap.Go see A.I.
