:: Sox Win! ::

Woo hoo!

:: Ansel and Gretel ::

In the past month and a half, I’ve had several serious inquiries about my photographs. I’ve sold one to a Canadian magazine, had another inquiry for the same photograph from a nonprofit in Florida, and today heard from a photography coordinator from Office Depot of all places, asking me what kind of camera I use.

It’s enough to make me consider changing careers. For a second.

And let’s not forget to shout it out together: Go Red Sox!

:: Go Sox ::

Lisa and I watched one baseball game on TV last season, the infamous Cubs-Marlins Game 6.

Tonight we watched another game, but we liked this one’s outcome much more. Go Red Sox! Even though I’m in Chicago, and my brother-in-law has made me a knowledgable Cubs fan, the Red Sox are the team I grew up watching, so it makes me happy to see them win. Especially being the first team in any sport other than hockey (and that’s only happened twice) to be down 3-0 in a seven game series, and come back to win it.

Houston has never made it past the first round of the playoffs before this year, so this is a (an?) historic season for them as well. It should be very exciting to watch.

:: Debate Factchecking ::

As you might expect (sad, but true), there were lots of factual problems in the first debate.

This list, which I hope is exhaustive, can be found at factcheck.org. A good portion of the factchecking in that article come from The Washington Post (use bugmenot to avoid their lengthy registration).
